Questions
Should usage rights go on a photography invoice?
Yes. Say where your client may use the images, for how long, and what costs extra, like print or ads. Then the invoice shows what they paid for.
How do I ask for a deposit?
Send a proforma invoice for a share of the fee before the shoot; the proforma invoice template is made for it. On the final invoice, take off the deposit, so your client pays the balance.
When should I send a photography invoice?
When you deliver the edited images, with a due date such as 14 days later. If your client paid a deposit, the invoice asks for what's left.
Can I invoice a client without a registered company?
Yes. Ruul becomes the legal counterparty on the invoice, so you can invoice clients in 190 countries without a company of your own.
How do I get paid for an invoice?
Put your bank details in the template's payment section, or let your client pay online by card or bank transfer and get paid through Ruul: you receive your payout within 1 business day after your client pays.
