Three things decide whether Ruul works for you: who you are, what the work is, and where you and the person on the other side are based. Each one has its own rules, so it’s worth checking all three rather than just the first.
Who can use Ruul
Freelancers and independent professionals. Writers, designers, developers, marketers, consultants, creators, and anyone else providing services. You don’t need a registered company: as your Agent of Record, Ruul issues its own invoice to your client. You complete a one-time identity verification (KYC) before your first payout.
Businesses paying contractors. Companies and teams of any size, paying people locally or across borders, without needing a local entity in each country. Your company details are checked once, around your first payment. See business verification (KYB).
What you can invoice
Only digital and knowledge-based services: development, design, marketing, consulting, writing, translation, data work, and similar professional services.
These can’t go through Ruul:
- Physical goods, or anything involving physical assets
- Expenses and reimbursements
- Salary payments
- Royalties
- Product sales
