Ruul is built for independent work, on both sides of a payment. In most cases, if you’re an individual getting paid for your services or a business paying contractors, you can use Ruul. Here’s how to tell.
If you’re a freelancer or independent professional
Ruul is for freelancers, consultants, creators, and other independent professionals who provide services — writers, designers, developers, marketers, and so on. You don’t need a registered company: Ruul issues invoices on your behalf as your Agent of Record.
You’ll need to:
- Be based in a supported country and complete a quick identity verification (KYC).
- Provide services (rather than sell physical goods).
Check the exact list in supported countries & currencies.
If you’re a business paying contractors
Ruul works for companies and teams of any size that pay independent contractors — locally or across borders. You’ll complete a one-time business verification (KYB) and can then add and pay your talent.

The main restrictions
- Supported countries. Both getting paid and paying out depend on supported countries and currencies — always check the lists above for your specific case.
- Ineligible countries. A small number of countries are restricted for compliance and sanctions reasons, both for users and for the clients being invoiced.
- Services, not goods. Ruul is designed for service-based work, not the sale of physical products.
